Lady Kathleen Epstein (née Garman, 1901 – 1979) was the third of seven sisters, high profile members of artistic circles in mid-twentieth century London, renowned for their beauty and scandalousness.
She was the muse and long-time mistress of Epstein, and finally his second wife. They met in 1921 and immediately began a relationship that lasted until Epstein's death and produced three of Epstein's five children, Theo, Kitty and Esther.
‘It has a sultry summer afternoon quality…Lips parted, eyes half closed, Kathleen basks sensuously, full of honey.’
